Privacy Policy

This website is operated by Sneakerhead Melrose LLC, 7890 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90046. This policy describes what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions? Email us at support@sneakerheadmelrose.com.

1. What We Collect

Account information. If you create an account: your name, email address, password (stored only as a secure hash — we never store your actual password), and optionally a phone number.

Order information. When you place an order (with an account or as a guest): your name, email address, shipping address, optional phone number, and the items you purchased. Orders picked up in store don't require a shipping address.

Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number is entered directly into Stripe's secure payment field and never touches our servers. We keep only the card brand and last four digits for your order record.

Cookies & browser storage. We use one first-party cookie of our own: a sign-in cookie that keeps you logged in for up to 7 days. Google Analytics sets its own cookies (_ga, _ga_*) to tell returning visits apart — see Analytics below. Your shopping cart and your acknowledgment of this policy are stored in your own browser's local storage, not on our servers. Stripe sets its own cookies on the checkout page to process payments securely, and the map on our Stores page is provided by Google Maps, which may set its own cookies on that page.

Technical information. We use IP addresses momentarily to protect the site against abuse (rate limiting); we do not store them in our database. Our hosting provider's standard server logs may record IP addresses.

2. How We Use It

To process and ship your orders, calculate sales tax, send transactional emails (order confirmations, shipping updates, password resets, account welcome), provide your account features, and protect the store against fraud and abuse. We do not send marketing emails. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

3. Service Providers We Share With

We share personal information only with the service providers that run the store, and only what each needs to do its job:

• Stripe — payment processing and sales-tax calculation (receives your name, email, phone, and address; may send you a payment receipt directly)
• Shippo — shipping-rate quotes (receives your shipping address only — no name or email)
• MailerSend — delivers our transactional emails
• Clover — our in-store point of sale, which receives order line items to keep inventory in sync (no customer names, emails, or addresses)
• Supabase & Vercel — database, storage, and website hosting
• Google Maps — the embedded store map on our Stores page
• Google Analytics — website usage measurement (see below)

Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the store is used: pages viewed, searches, items viewed and added to the cart, and completed orders (the order number and amount — never your name, email, or address). We treat this measurement as part of running the store, so it is active on every visit. Google processes this on our behalf and states that Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. We have not enabled Google's advertising features, do not use analytics to build advertising profiles, and never share this data with third parties for their own marketing. You can opt out of Google Analytics on any site with Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, customers, or the public.

4. Your Choices & Rights

If you have an account, you can review and update your information anytime from your account page. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information (including guest orders), email support@sneakerheadmelrose.com and we will respond within 30 days. Note that we retain order and transaction records as required for accounting, tax, and legal purposes.

Your California privacy rights. California residents may request information about disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct-marketing purposes (Civil Code §1798.83). We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing.

5. Do Not Track

Our site does not respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals. We do not track visitors across third-party websites.

6. Children

Our store is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Retention

Order and transaction records are retained for as long as needed for accounting, tax, and legal purposes. Account information is retained until you ask us to delete your account.

8. Security

We protect your information with HTTPS encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and role-restricted staff access to order and account data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard measures.

9. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes, we will post the updated policy on this page with a new effective date.
